Great news, Jeff and Rita Hollingsworth of RMH Media informed us that our film is being reviewed in the LOS ANGELES TIMES by Kevin Thomas. The review comes out in two days. I know it'll be a great one.

The official Los Angeles Times review of "The Innocents" came out today. It's wasn't just great, it was spectacular! You can read it in its entirety in the -Press Room-, but here are just a few quotes..."Katherine displays much promise on either side of the camera...Regional filmmaking at its best...A highly accomplished first film." You can't ask for any better than that. And to make matters even better only two films from the festival were actually reviewed, our film and Lyn Clinton's "Height of the Sky." What a great way to start off a new fest. And there's even better news in the works with a possible private screening at one of Hollywood's top indie studios. As things become definite, we'll let you know.

The first screening at Dances with Films was at 7:30 p.m. tonight. It was nearly a full house. Unfortunately there were some projection problems. The projector kept losing synch and the lens wouldn't focus properly. Our film was the first 16mm film to screen, so there unfortunately were mistakes made with our projection. Everyone loved the film but it's unfortunate they had to see it projected in that manner. On a much happier side, the indie studio that wanted to screen our film is MIRAMAX. They heard about our film and its stellar review in the LA Times and they called to set up a private screening in their offices. Wow! Miramax! This more than makes up for the problematic first screening.

Big party tonight at Rix in Santa Monica. If you've never heard of it, it's a real celeb hang-out on weekends - this is not a weekend. But, STARZ MOVIE CHANNEL is here to interview a few filmmakers for an upcoming spot on indie films and their makers. Katherine is one of the filmmakers chosen to be interviewed. Very cool! Also, word of how Katherine made the film made it's way into the offices of the LA Times. They want to interview her for a feature story about how she did it her way. That should happen tomorrow afternoon sometime. I don't want to give away anything about her story, so to read that article in its entirety along with other pieces, go to the -Press Room-.

The second screening of Dances with Films was at 2:00 p.m. today. It went perfectly well. All of the projection problems had been resolved in subsequent screenings of other films. The theater was packed again today.A lot of the films have had a great turnout at this fest.We also delivered the print to Miramax today immediately after our screening. They also asked for a press kit and the synopsis of our next film, "Sacrifice the Muse." We're looking forward to their response.

The closing night party for Dances with Films. A very successful festival all in all. We were reviewed by the LA Times, they also wrote an article on how Katherine made the film and we were mentioned in Variety and interviewed for STARZ Movie Channel. How can you argue with that.We also heard from Miramax today. They loved the film, "It's obvious that Katherine has a lot of talent." they said. "But the film is too small for the studio at this point." But they asked Katherine to come in and pitch her next project and deliver the script when it's finished. We've definitely made a great permanent contact for the future.
