"The Innocents" screened today at the HOLLYWOOD FILM MARKET at 3:00 p.m. Jeff and Rita of RMH were there to meet and greet invited industry and distribution execs. By the time the film started, three showed up - the ones who RSVP'd. Apparently there was a high profile film screening at the same time in another theater. A film with stars - always a tough contender to beat.

Aug. 9

The Gala Awards Dinner for the Hollywood Film Festival was held at the Beverly Hills Inn tonight. To give you a hint of the event, we walked into the party alongside John Voight and John Schlesinger. John Voight was one of the many presenters along with Patrick Swazy, Val Kilmer and Neil Simon. Jack Lemmon received a lifetime achievement award and John Schlesinger received a Director's award. It was a great event.

Aug. 24

Yesterday, we received a fax letting us know that "The Innocents" was accepted into the SILVER SAND FILM FESTIVAL. This kind of news is always good news. The SSFF runs from Oct. 1-3. It's a small fest which was previously known as the Hermosa Beach Festival but has changed hands this past year. Who knows, this could be a fun little fest just an hour south of LA. After all, they are the city that reversed the topless beach cordinate.
