As we reported before, we have joined forces with Like Water For Chocolate producer Emilia Arau for our upcoming feature film Butterflies & Lightning, and we're absolutely ecstatic. We couldn't ask for a better producing partner than Emilia on this film. She is as passionate and dedicated to Butterflies & Lightning as we are.

Swiss citizenship has its priviledges. Jon is both an American and a Swiss citizen, so he recently returned from the FILM BUSINESS SCHOOL, an international film-financing seminar that pairs upcoming independent film producers with experienced professionals to tutor them in the ways of co-production and international film financing. The course is very intensive with both hands-on and lecture-based instruction. And, it's located in the heart of Andalucia, Spain. So, what could be a better way to learn than this.

We are very sad that a dedicated and passionate friend has died. Casting Director Shaila Rubin (Life is Beautiful, Passion of the Christ, The Nativity Story) has passed away. Shaila was a great supporter of Butterflies & Lightning and we are lucky she was able to be part of our team even if only for a short while.
Shaila's casting company will continue to support and work with us in our international casting needs for our upcoming film.
