OCTOBER

We are happy to announce that we have officially screened The Innocents at a DOZEN film festivals across the country. It doesn't really mean anything specifically, just sounds like a nice big even number. And that number continues to grow as we continue to get invitations to enter festivals and screening series throughout the country. Check out the FESTIVAL page to read all about IFFM and the Temecula Valley Int'l Film Festival.

NEXT UP...We're going back to NEW YORK. This time we've been invited to screen at New York's GURL FILM FESTIVAL. Not only have we been invited to screen at their festival, but The Innocents has officially been chosen to be the closing night film. A very esteemed honor.

We screen Tuesday, Nov. 21 at 6:00p.m.
All screenings are held at the Pioneer Theater,
Avenue A and 3rd Street in Manhattan.

GURL is for gURL.com. Check out their website. They're one of the largest websites in the world, with 1.5 million visitors per month, specializing in content for young college age women and teenagers. The publicity from their website and the festival should give The Innocents an even stronger following and hopefully will continue to spread the good word about our film. They saw our film at the Independent Feature Film Market and invited The Innocents to be the closing night film for their festival, held in New York in late November. That Market screening is paying off already.

Katherine has also been invited to speak about the making of The Innocents on a panel discussion at the GURL Film Festival. Other panelists and honorees include Christine Vachon, the producer of such films as Happiness, Velvet Goldmine and Boys Don't Cry, Kimberly Pierce, Academy Award Nominated Writer and Director of Boys Don't Cry and Nancy Savoca, director of True Love and Dogfight. That's quite an amazing line-up of talent for just one festival. It should be quite an amazing event.

JUST CONFIRMED...We just found we've also been invited to screen at the TELLURIDE INDIEFEST FILM FESTIVAL - "Showing the best of independent cinema" - Telluride Daily Planet. Held in snowy Colorado every December this festival is quickly becoming one of the larger more esteemed fests on the circuit and should offer quite an impressive line-up this year of new indie features screening almost twice as many as last year.

Our original schedule has changed. We are now one of the closing night films at Telluride Indiefest.
We screen on Friday, Dec. 8 at 1:00p.m. and
Sunday, Dec. 10 at 8:00p.m.

Both screenings at the Opera House Theater in downtown Telluride.

We're also trying to negotiate a screening date for the Kansas City Screening Series and possibly at the Camera Cinema in San Jose - they have a monthly screening series for indie films. As soon as these dates and times are set we'll let you know for sure.

In a market where most indie films rarely ever get seen we've enjoyed some very successful screenings in some very diverse parts of the country. And we're just now breaking out into international festivals which should open our film up to whole new audiences in the rest of the world.
