The HOLLYWOOD FILM FESTIVAL & MARKET (Aug 4-9) is held once a year on the PARAMOUNT STUDIOS LOT. This lavish mixing of professional filmmakers and first-time festival attendees was rich with PARTIES and STAR SPOTTING - especially the Gala Awards Ceremony where finding yourself standing beside JON VOIGHT or VAL KILMER was a natural phenomenon at this years event. My only regret is that we didn't have our camera with us.

"The Innocents" screened on Sunday, Aug 8th at 3:00 p.m. Jeff and Rita of RMH Media (see 'Dances with Films Festival' below) continued to promote and confirm the attendance of some industry and distribution representatives.

The screening was a great success. There's always a concern when projecting 16mm prints, the projectors are not nearly as well maintained and sound systems can often times be less than memorable. Not the case on the Paramount Lot. We received great admiration for our film and even brought a few audience members to tears. We garnered quite a lot of genuine interest, but the word from distributors was that they like to ride a film like this out (read: middle America story with NO STARS) to see how it performs in the festival circuit. Well, we have a damn good start.
